Advisory and Stratedy Case Study: AMC Networks

Adopting global operation efficiencies, standardized business processes and unified business applications for a large global media and entertainment company.

Business Challenge:

AMC Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: AMCX) is an American entertainment company headquartered in New York, that owns and operates the cable channels AMC, IFC, WE tv, BBC America (through a joint venture with BBC Studios), and Sundance TV. AMC required a digital transformation initiative to streamline processes across business functions spanning accounting, finance, procurement, billing and collections. Additionally, AMC Networks growth expansion strategy included the acquisition Chello Media Group extending their presence in Europe and Latin America. AMC sought to eliminate Chello’s multiple business ecosystems that overlapped with AMC’s existing technology and business systems.

Solution:

Implemented Oracle Enterprise applications in the US. Our team led an assessment across departmental functions spanning 6 countries, analyzing data, business applications and global processes. We developed a multi-year roadmap outlining plans to migrate, consolidate and eliminate applications between Chello Media and AMC. Our team launched a Business Process re-engineering effort globally for adoption across each geography and facilitated Oracle enterprise application implementation consolidating capabilities on one global platform using Oracle.
